It is perfectly normal that change from outboard to inboard engine feels strange at start. I can assure you that you will get used to it quite easy and pretty fast.

I have just purchaced my first boat that has an inboard engine.  I have always had outboards.  When i reach top speeds  the boat feels like i dont have total control.  Not sure if anything wrong our just a differnt feeling that I need to get use to.  I was told to put a whale tale on it maybe that woudl help.

It had been 25 years since I had done a pump, Although helpful Eddie's video is correct up until he installs the face seal forcing it down with his hand and then slipping the cup tool over it, the cup tool goes over the seal and it and the seal get pushed against the water pump housing when the cup tool makes contact the seal is set to the proper depth and preload, if it is pushed to tight against the housing premature failure could occur, then the plastic cup is disgarded not left on the shaft. It should also be stated that this seal is not for keeping water in but exhaust out of the impeller housing. I appreciated the video it certainly helped, although after researching the procedure I had to drop the lower unit and reset the seal as I followed your video the first time around. Hey Mike Thanks for your support. I will be making new videos this season. It has been very difficult to get sponsors, So everything has been funded by me.
